WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DYES, PIGMENT & SUBLIMATION INKS?
All inkjet printer inks used in the home and most businesses use a similar formulation.
The basic make-up of ink jet inks is de-ionized water as the solvent, isopropyl alcohol or glycol as the drying agent, and dye base to provide the color.
There are three main inks use for printing which are Dye Ink, Pigment Ink & Sublimation Ink.

- Dye Inks: mostly for document printing & photo printing
- Pigment Inks: mostly for printing on transfer paper and transfer printing. It is washable as the ink is waterproof.
- Sublimation Inks: mostly for printing on sublimation paper and sublimation printing on coated surface and polyester materials
